Outreach

I enjoy sharing my research results with non-expert audiences. I give public outreach talks about stars and exoplanets for different kinds of audiences, such as highschool students and interested laypeople, and also sometimes do Q&A sessions for highschool students.

Here’s a list of some of the public outreach activities I have done:

– Lecture on exoplanets for the Work Experience Program at Queen’s University Belfast, a week-long astronomy program for highschool students, 2016 and 2017
– Talk on exploring space and exoplanets at the TEDx Klagenfurt Conference in Austria, September 2017. Here’s the link to the event: TEDx Klagenfurt.
– Public lecture on exoplanets and habitability for the Irish Astronomical Association, March 2017
– Blogpost about X-ray transits of exoplanets, Chandra Observatory blog
